Getting Started

Welcome to Live On Bags, the premier platform for crypto enthusiasts to showcase their favorite tokens through live streaming. This documentation will guide you through all the features and functionality of the platform.

What is Live On Bags?

Live On Bags is a decentralized streaming platform where users can go live to showcase and discuss their favorite cryptocurrency tokens. Viewers can interact through chat, send tips, and even trade tokens directly from the stream interface.

Wallet Connection

To use Live On Bags, you need to connect a Solana wallet. We support popular wallets like Phantom and Solflare.

Install a Solana Wallet
Download and install Phantom, Solflare, or another supported Solana wallet extension.

Connect Your Wallet
Click the 'Connect Wallet' button in the top right corner and select your wallet.

Approve Connection
Approve the connection request in your wallet to link it with Live On Bags.

Security Notice

Never share your private keys or seed phrase. Live On Bags will never ask for this information. Only connect wallets you trust and always verify the website URL before connecting.

Going Live

Starting a stream on Live On Bags is simple. You'll need to have BAGS ecosystem tokens in your wallet to associate with your stream.

Navigate to Go Live
Click the 'Go Live' button in the sidebar or header to access the streaming setup.

Enter Stream Details
Provide a stream title and your display name that viewers will see.

Select Your Token
Choose a BAGS ecosystem token from your wallet to associate with your stream.

Start Streaming
Click 'Go Live' to create your stream and receive your streaming credentials.

Token Requirements

Only tokens with addresses ending in "BAGS" can be associated with streams. This ensures all content is part of the BAGS ecosystem.

Streaming Setup

Once you've created a stream, you'll need streaming software to broadcast your content. We support popular options like OBS Studio and Streamlabs.

OBS Studio Setup

  1. Download and install OBS Studio from their official website
  2. Open OBS and go to Settings → Stream
  3. Set Service to "Custom..."
  4. Copy the Server URL from your Live On Bags dashboard
  5. Copy the Stream Key from your dashboard
  6. Click Apply, then OK
  7. Click "Start Streaming" in the main OBS window

Streamlabs Setup

  1. Download and install Streamlabs from their official website
  2. Open Streamlabs and go to Settings → Stream
  3. Select Stream Type: "Custom Streaming Server"
  4. Paste the Server URL into the URL field
  5. Paste the Stream Key into the Stream Key field
  6. Click Done, then Go Live

Pro Tip

Test your stream setup before going live by checking the preview in your streaming software. Make sure your audio levels are good and your video quality is clear.

Chat Features

Live On Bags features a real-time chat system that allows viewers to interact with streamers and each other.

Chat Functionality

  • Real-time messaging: Messages appear instantly for all viewers
  • Username system: Set a unique username per stream
  • Emoji support: Use emojis to express yourself
  • Tip notifications: Special highlighting for tip messages
  • Message limits: 200 character limit per message
  • Auto-cleanup: Only the latest 100 messages are kept per stream

Setting Your Username

When you first join a stream's chat, you'll be prompted to set a username. This username is unique per stream, so you can use different names for different streams.

Tipping System

Support your favorite streamers by sending SOL tips directly to their wallet. Tips appear in chat and help streamers monetize their content.

How to Send Tips

Click Tip Button
Click the 'Tip Streamer' button on the stream page or the gift icon in chat.

Choose Amount
Select a quick tip amount or enter a custom amount between 0.001 and 10 SOL.

Add Message
Optionally add a message that will appear in chat with your tip.

Send Tip
Approve the transaction in your wallet to send the tip directly to the streamer.

Tip Limits

Tips are limited to a minimum of 0.001 SOL and maximum of 10 SOL for security purposes. Make sure you have enough SOL in your wallet to cover the tip plus transaction fees.

Trading Integration

Live On Bags integrates with Jupiter to allow viewers to trade tokens directly from the stream interface. You can buy or sell the token being showcased without leaving the platform.

Trading Requirements

To buy tokens, you need SOL in your wallet. To sell tokens, you need to own the specific token being streamed. The trading interface will automatically check your balances and prevent invalid transactions.

Verified streamers receive a special badge that helps build trust with their audience. Verification is currently handled manually by our team.

Tip Transaction Failed

  • Ensure you have enough SOL to cover the tip plus transaction fees
  • Check that the tip amount is between 0.001 and 10 SOL
  • Make sure you're not trying to tip yourself
  • Try again with a smaller amount if the transaction is timing out
